I tried to load a game on the PlayStation 3 IT WONT LET ME and it says I need 414MB of memory and I need to free up space. I went into system information and it says I have 20 GB free. Toutes les idées que je fais mal.

I received the game within one week. I was very excited because I read so much about this game. And all I can say after playing the game is “Great fun” and cool horror. Thanks

this is a must have for every PS3 owner. you are exploring a damaged ship out in deep space – a well worn plot but in this case done very well. the game majors on tension introduced through sound, light and atmospherics. you’ll be moving along and hear a metal object clanging onto the floor having been moved by ‘something out there’! the atmospherics are dark, shadowy and industrial. some areas are smokey, others dusty. attention to detail is great. the use of light and shadow is superb and adds greatly to the tension when you start wondering whether you’ve seen something or not. all controls, from game objectives to ammo & life are in-game making the whole experience more immersive, eg your life bar appears as 4 light bars on your spine. the monster designs themselves are ok – mixture of human & monster making them quite scary. the pace they move at you is the horrific part (although you’ll soon learn to use kenesis and slow down events). the game also stands out from the crowd by requiring you to shoot off the limbs of the monsters in order to kill them, making exchanges quite tactical and avoiding the whole ’nuff button mashing. the disagreements between your colleagues who crashed with you also adds to the tension given that they cant agree on how to run the show! in short, the best horrors are those that allow you to do the work by playing on what’s not there. if you’re as mad as i am on the Aliens films (particularaly the first) you will appreciate this game

Ok terrible title for a review but best I could come up with on short notice! Take it from me a lot more thought went into the monumental playstation event that is Dead Space. From the very first second to the last heart pounding moment of this epic adventure one word springs to mind – `Class’. This title has class in bucketloads and more than enough to cope with some of its supposed rivals in this genre.
Played from an over the shoulder viewpoint, collecting of weapon and ammunition and with a horror twist thrown in, comparisons between this and Resident Evil 5 are bound to be made. Unfairly in my opinion as Dead Space is everything that Resident Evil 5 should have been after the amazing Resident Evil 4 instalment.
Pretty graphics should be the standard with the new generation machines but Dead Space not only delivers on this but also adds something missing from a number of games – atmosphere! The shadow effects and the animation of some of the creatures are jaw dropping at points.
The sound fx are very impressive also if you do not get a shiver running down your spine or just generally freaked out at some points during the game you either need help or you have got scared and switched the sound off!
The control system usually the Achilles heel of many a game is also simple to use and very effective. One minor issue with the control of the camera which went a bit too close to the back of the heroes head on occasion but other than that it was cool.
Overall a very solid game which is now probably at a bargain price. I would advise purchasing this game before the sequel arrives hopefully not in the too distant future. There is a new survival horror contender so take note capcom and step your game up.
I would actually give this game 4. 6 not quite perfect but almost there.

I just finished playing through the whole campaign for the second time. My second impression of “Dead space” is even more positive than my original reaction.
During the first playthrough I noticed how well designed the game world is. As a science fiction setting, it is very credible. The space ships and the surface of the colony planet appear to have been lived in, with signs of daily use everywhere. There’s dirt, there’s clutter, there’s junk. The detail sells the scenario. Even the “user interface” of the of the game protagonist’s space suit is designed not to break the illusion of the game’s reality.
Once you are sold on the credibility of the game world, the survival horror elements of the game become really effective. To survive in the game, you have to defend yourself against a cast of disfigured human mutants. It’s not just the challenge that your weaponry is somewhat underpowered to deal with the threats that will get under your skin, it’s also in how the mutants are ghastly familiar. During my second playthrough I noticed how well the mutant attacks are paced. The game goes to great lengths not to overuse specific enemy types, it also varies how the enemies are deployed: jump scares, or cases in which you realize long before an attack happens that there is going to be trouble ahead are very rare. The game design also works hard to vary the gameplay elements. You are not always running through dimly lit corridors, shooting at mutants. The game’s storyline strings you along solving various problems in different parts of the ship, in zero gravity, in hard vacuum, etc.
The game mechanics and the scenario are bound to be familiar for anybody who has ever seen movies such as “Alien” or John Carpenter’s “The thing”. “Dead Space” draws heavily upon the scenarios of both these movies and combines them to great effect. The result works quite well, though it is certainly not original. You could make a list of all the effective “Alien” and “The thing” movie elements, and you would find each and every one adapted in this game. Contagious alien, mutating disease? Check. Gory monsters with flaying tentacles? Check. Double-crossing crew member instructed by some shadowy group to exploit the threat? Check. And so on. . .
How scary is “Dead Space”? The game design avoids cheap scares and tries, often really hard, to play against your expectations. This effort almost always pays off. The whole gamut between creepy, shocking, revolting and gory is present in the game design. Whenever it’s creepy, the game really does work well. Personally, I was less convinced by the gory aspects. They get old very quickly, whereas the creepiness lingers on and is always done very well. Here’s hoping that in the inevitable sequel the designers will go more for the creepy parts.
The game’s sound design is very effective, as it should be for the horror genre. I would even go so far as saying that the sound is responsible for more than half of what makes this game work so well.
The game’s music, however, I found far less effective. It became annoying very quickly, and when I turned it off, the game became scarier because the environment sound design really started to shine. For all the ideas “Dead Space” borrowed from the movies “Alien” and “The thing”, I wish they had borrowed from these movie scores. Unlike the “Dead Space” game music, which is almost always very “on the nose”, the scores for “Alien” and “The thing” enhanced the movies by countering expectations.

Well just finished this game and what a game it is. Well worth the tenner i paid. You will not be dissapointed with your purchase and will keep you glued to your PS3 for some time. Nealry as good as Bioshock but just slips in a few areas. But one to add to your collection.
